This year we will have made 2 trips to Haiti.
January
January
The excitement was BUILDING as concrete was poured and walls took shape for the future HOMELAND Clinic in Village Triano. The group of 18 from Colorado, Arizona, Nebraska and Minnesota saw over 1600 patients in 5 clinic days in and around the mountain range.
October
Group of 16 will stay at the Deller’s Hotel once again, with daily trips to villages, holding clinics. Our focus will in and around Village Triano, NE of the capital. The multi-purpose building on the Homeland Property is now complete and many projects are coming together:
*Faith-based and youth programming
*Agricultural crop management and sustainability projects
*Networking / Introductions to with Village Triano neighborhood (est. population 6000-8000)
*Continued efforts to secure safe and accessible potable water for entire community
We are looking at all options to partner with other medical clinics in the region. Specifically a clinic connected to “Caritas Haiti” is across the road from our Home property. There are also at least 2 regional orphanages running very successful feeding programs in place; focusing on babies and children amid extreme malnutrition.
Although there are many unknowns about exact clinic composition, we are open to partnering with teams or any groups to utilize all skill sets, space and energies to make the HOMELAND Clinic start-up successful. Our goal for opening will be November 15, 2018!
